Season 2020
Dear Friends and Members of River Company,
We began 2020 very excited to bring you a season full of delightful, Maine-themed shows, but due to the spread of the Coronavirus, or COVID-19, we feel it is best to modify our season in order to protect our wonderful community.
It is with a heavy heart that we postpone our spring production of “Homer Bound” by Karmo Sanders. We hope to be able to revisit this wonderful play with a full production in 2021.
We have produced and shared two zoom productions on our new youtube channel and plan to bring you two more before the end of the year, one of which being our annual holiday fundraiser. Stay tuned via our facebook and instagram accounts.
River Company is so thankful for all our members, fans and supporters.
The Show Will Go On.

2020 marks River Company’s 23rd season and Maine’s 200th anniversary of its statehood. In honor of our state’s anniversary, River Company’s season will focus on plays by Maine authors and that take place in or are about Maine.
Homer Bound has been POSTPONED until 2021
Karmo Sanders is well known to Mainers as Birdie Googins from the Marden's commercials, otherwise known as the "Marden's Lady." Not only is she a successful comedienne but also a playwright, as evidenced by this delightful two act comedy set on an island off the coast Maine. Previously performed at the Good Theater in Portland in 2018, River Company is so excited to share with midcoast audiences the delightful story of Homer, a Maine lobsterman and his friends and family as they try to pull off a shot-gun wedding.
River Company is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation. Our Mission: River Company provides a local arena for artists to gain theatrical experience that fosters artistic growth. River Company’s work reflects and entertains its community through its creativity, flexibility, and versatility.
